Ran about 100 rounds through it yesterday. It ran flawlessly with zero FTE issues. Very powerful, and nice balance. Seems to have a little more recoil than my FN FNX .45 when shot back to back, but it’s also lighter, with more muzzle energy and velocity in the FMJ rounds I was shooting. Field stripping and cleaning is very easy. Both pistols are the exact same size, so I thought it was a fair comparison. The FN .45 ACP is my go to pistol in higher calibers. The Springfield XDM Elite comes in at a much better price point vs. the FN .45. The Hex-dragonfly RMR is ok. Harder to pick up than other RMR’s that I have. You can definitely pick up the “flashing” LED in the Hex dragonfly, where Vortex RMR’s appear as a solid red dot. The palm safety is a nice feature, but you do have to choke up a bit on your grip to release the grip safety. I have big hands, so it’s not a big deal for me. Maybe more of an issue for people with small hands. This is definitely a man’s pistol. Overall, I’m very impressed with it. I’d give it a 4.5/5 rating, only because of the RMR.
